Project Engineer - Mechanical/Electrical

My client are a well-established contractor specialising in Modular build, they have found a niche in the market securing places on various public & private sector frameworks. Although based in the North West they do work Nationwide so you must be willing to work away if and when required.



Project Engineer Duties:

• Management of sub-contractors and assistance in the placement of sub-contract and material orders
• Technical expertise in the placement of sub-contracts and material orders relating to Mechanical & Electrical equipment
• Planning and programming - Preparation of project programme for mechanical and electrical aspects of work and to advise personnel of progress and forecast
• Quality Assurance - To maintain quality assurance records in accordance with the Company procedures
• Engineering design - Approval and vetting of sub-contractors designs in accordance with the specification requirements
• Attending site progress meetings and production of reports
• Inspection of equipment as required at factory and on site
• Advising the Quantity Surveyors of changes to specification and the financial impact on a project
• Client liaison and correspondence
• Provide training of client’s personnel complete with manuals as required
• Site supervision of sub-contractors if required
• Site commissioning if required



Project Engineer Requirements:

• Ability to interact and co-operate with all employees.
• Maintain professional internal and external relationships that meet company core values.
• Hold a minimum of 12 months in a Project Engineer role, they are looking for numerous Engineers at this stage from both Mechanical & Electrical backgrounds
