Quantity Surveyor

The Company:

We are working with a Regional Building Contractor who are well established in the North West, privately owned, profitable and are active in a number of market sectors.

The Role:

Due to an excellent pipeline of work they are now in a position to add to their small North West commercial team.
Specifically they want someone to oversee the commercial performance of a £3 Million new build commercial project due on site in a couple of months' time. Follow on work will be North West based and of a similar value.
General responsibilities will include the following;
Undertake all commercial and contractual requirements on the designated projects in accordance with the company procedures and processes : highlighting potential contractual issues.
Ensuring sound financial performance including profitability, cash flow, and managing risks and opportunities.
Preparation of accurate and detailed cost reports for review with the Commercial Director.
Preparing and agreeing Monthly Valuations, including valuing variations and forecast final account.
Appointment of Subcontractors in accordance with Company Procedures, including procurement and account management including valuations, payment notices and agreement of final accounts.
To work closely with Contracts Management to ensure all required site records and correspondence are completed in accordance with the specific Contract requirements and Company Procedures.
Maintain close working relationship with the client and their representatives to assist in the success of the project.
Liaise with Contracts Management to review and monitor project costs whilst achieving high standards of quality and health and safety.

You:

They would like to recruit an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a good track record of working in a similar role for a similar building contractor.
They would also welcome applications from Assistant/Intermediate Quantity Surveyors looking for the opportunity to progress.
You will be based in or be able to commute to the North West of England daily.
You will be IT literate and will be contractually aware.
