Senior Quantity Surveyor

The Company:

We are working with a leading regional Contractor/Developer who typically deliver projects valued to £1 Million including; Education, Healthcare, Industrial, Leisure and Residential projects.

The Role:

They are now in a position to recruit a Senior Quantity Surveyor to bolster their small Commercial team.
Reporting directly in to a Managing Director you will be tasked with undertaking commercial and contractual responsibilities on your designated projects.
You will work closely with the operations and technical teams to reach successful commercial outcomes on your projects.
The role will generally be office based with occasional site visits.

General responsibilities will include the following;
• Undertake all commercial and contractual requirements on your designated projects in accordance with the company processes and procedures.
• Responsibility for tendering, packaging tender docs, getting prices from subcontractors, building up and completing the tender submission.
• Researching materials, equipment and labour costs.
• Ensuring sound financial performance including profitability, cashflow, and managing risks and opportunities.
• Preparation of accurate and detailed monthly cost reports for review with the MD.
• Good working knowledge and application of Main Contract and Sub-Contract Forms and Standard Method of Measurement.
• Preparing and agreeing Monthly Valuations, including valuing variations and forecasting final accounts.
• Account management of subcontractors including valuations, payment notices and agreement of final accounts.
• To work closely with Contracts Management to ensure all required site records and correspondence are completed in accordance with the specific Contract requirements and Company Procedures.
• Maintain close working relationships with the clients and design teams to assist in the success of the project.
• Liaise with Contracts Management to review and monitor project costs whilst achieving high standards of quality and health and safety

They would like to recruit a Senior Quantity Surveyor or Quantity Surveyor who has previously been responsible for the commercial delivery of building projects for a regional building contractor.
You will be based in or be able to commute to Greater Manchester daily.
You will be IT literate (they use Excel and Word) and will be contractually aware.
