SHEQ Manager

Our client is an established contractor who works in the construction industry. They are looking to recruit a Health & Safety Manager who will also be involved in their Environmental and Quality procedures and take responsibility for ensuring compliance across the company.

Managing a small team of H&S professionals and administrative support, you will coordinate and monitor the implementation of the Company's policies, ensure compliance with legislation, attend and report at safety meetings and ensure statutory and regulatory compliance by conducting site audits.

The ideal candidate will also be responsible for ISO Compliance; Planning & coordinating SHEQ related training; Maintaining safety files and Conducting risk assessments.

Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK, hold a full clean driving licence, be West Yorkshire based, have excellent communication skills (both written & verbal) as well as an advanced level of IT skills.

Previous experience within a building contractor (and associated production / manufacturing facilities) is essential. Candidates will be expected to hold professional qualifications (to include NEBOSH, IOSH, NVQ Level 6/7) and relevant training (i.e.1st Aid, Asbestos Awareness, Fire, CDM).
