The Company:

We are working with a long established Regional Building Contractor and Developer who have an excellent reputation and are capable of taking on construction projects valued up to £10 Million for a varied client base, together with their own developments, all of which are almost exclusively based in the North West of England.

They are privately owned, profitable and are active in a number of market sectors including; education, healthcare, blue light, residential, commercial and industrial.

This a new role recently identified and is important in helping them to continue their growth and development.

The Role:

Managing your own diary you will ordinarily be office based but will be required to visit sites, suppliers etc. across the region too.

General responsibilities will include the following;

•    Research and contact new suppliers initiating business relationships and partnerships

•    Negotiate new contracts including rebates

•    Have overall control for ordering materials and plant

•    Risk management

•    Initiate spending controls where required

•    Work closely with other departments putting in place robust processes and procedures that aid rather than hinder the construction business

You:

They would like to recruit an experienced Buyer who has worked in a similar role within construction.

You will have a good understanding of material and plant prices and ideally a network of contacts to benchmark against.

You'll need to be IT Literate and be able to interpret and analyse data.

You will need a Full UK Driving Licence.
