The Company:
A leading Contractor/Developer whose NW Construction team would generally deliver larger projects that are typically apartments, commercial or mixed use.

They have a number of high profile schemes on site and an impressive pipeline of work with their existing client base that means they need to recruit at least one Design Manager to supplement their small, experienced team.
The Position:
You will get the chance to work on live schemes and projects in preconstruction working closely with the Senior Design Managers and Pre-Construction Manager.
You will be tasked with controlling design activity through the pre-construction phases and through delivery.
You will provide advice on design risk and opportunities for value engineering to the commercial, planning, delivery and client teams.
You will produce, agree and manage realistic design programs.
Attend design meetings with the client, their representatives, consultants and supply chain.
Once projects are on site you will ensure the delivery team are working to the specifications.
You:
Ideally, you will have worked as a Design Manager or Senior Design Manager previously on building projects of a significant size and will have either an architectural or construction related background.
You will be based in or be able to commute to Greater Manchester daily.
Commercially aware with an awareness of value engineering.
IT literate.
Good construction knowledge.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
