The Company:
We are working with a leading Contractor whose NW Regional Construction team would generally deliver projects for clients principally based around Greater Manchester, Lancashire, Merseyside and Cheshire. Projects delivered in the region have been in the commercial, multi storey residential, industrial, retail, defence, extra care, education and leisure sectors.
They have grown consistently over the last 10 years developing some great relationships with both public and private sector clients, are very cash rich, have a great supply chain and have a very experienced, knowledgeable and approachable management team.
The Role:
They are now keen to recruit a Design Manager to join their Regional Design team due to an excellent pipeline of projects due to start on site in 2022 & 2023.
You will be tasked with controlling design activity on up to 3 projects through the delivery phases.
You will provide advice on design risk to the commercial, planning, operations and client teams.
You will produce, agree and manage realistic design programs.
You will ensure the delivery team are working to the correct specifications.
You:
It's likely you will have worked as a Design Manager on construction projects previously or you may be working at Assistant Design Manager or Design Coordinator level and are ready to take the next step in your career – they are adept at supporting this progression.
You will be based in or be able to commute to the North West of England daily.
Commercially aware with an understanding of value engineering.
IT literate.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
