We are working with the North West office of a highly successful and award winning regional residential contractor and developer who would generally work with Local Authorities, Housing Associations and other third parties together with their own development work.
They build Houses, Apartments and Care Homes around the North West and due to planned expansion would like to add to their NW Commercial team.
They are now in a position to recruit an experienced Estimator to bolster their current team in line with planned expansion and an extremely healthy pipeline of work.
You will support the land and development team in securing land and contracting opportunities. For external clients you will be tasked with receiving tender enquiries and presenting the details to the Directors and agreeing to bid or not, complete the risk register, work with the rest of the pre con team to meet deadlines, sending out and vetting subcontract enquiries, conducting site visits, attending tender review meetings, building up the tender through to tender adjudication and settlement whilst looking for value engineering opportunities, present the financial elements of the tender in line with the clients' specification and help with post tender negotiations.
You will have worked as an Estimator (or as a QS who has priced work) previously for a building contractor and will ideally have experience of working on housing, apartments or building projects.
You will be able to price from first principles as well as using subcontract pricing.
You will be IT literate (ideally with experience using Conquest).
