Health and Safety Manager
£45k + Car / Allowance + Benefits
Our client is a well established West Yorkshire based contractor with a turnover c£25m+. They work nationally across the Commercial & Healthcare sectors on projects from £100k to £6m in live environments. An opportunity has arisen for a Health & Safety Manager to ensure compliance and all H&S training requirements are met within the business.
Duties will include and are not limited to;
Liaising with all other departments, external suppliers, contractors, clients. Principal Designers and any other relevant stakeholders to ensure compliance at all times within all H&S matters.
Reviewing and monitoring all H&S training requirements within the business, give support and guidance where required to department heads on job specific training needs.
Working alongside Senior managers / Directors and ensuring that H&S management systems are compliant and up to date with government legislation and the HSE guidelines.
Carrying out regular site inspections and audits to check HSQE policies and procedures are being properly implemented.
Keeping up to date with new legislation and maintain a working knowledge of all (HSE) legislation and any developments that affect the business.
Ensuring all H&S is balanced against the cost for the projects and that a commercial awareness within the H&S team is evident.
The role will be office based with nationwide travel to sites, succesfull candidate must have H&S experience within a construction background and must be eligible to work in the UK.
