The Company:

We are working with a leading regional contractor who are coming to the end of a 3 year growth plan and are now planning the next stage in their development.

They typically carry out civil engineering, utilities and construction projects for a varied client base of public and private sector clients up to around £10 Million.

They have the capability and accreditation to operate in a wide variety of sectors and are recruiting someone for this role to continue their growth and development.

The Role: 

They are now in a position to recruit an experienced Senior Estimator to their small work winning team. 

Working closely with the MD, Construction Director, the work winning team and other stakeholders you will be responsible for providing accurate estimates of project cost and will help to manage the submission of tenders to their clients. 

You'll be involved is assessing risk, value engineering, negotiating projects, dealing with clients/their representatives, sending out and vetting subcontractor enquiries and following up on tenders gaining appropriate feedback.

As a business they are open minded about changing processes and procedures they currently use and are happy to change the estimating software they have to meet someone's requirements.


You'll have worked in a similar role helping to secure similar projects for a contractor previously.

It may be that you are the current lead Estimator of a business or you may well be working as part of an estimating team looking for an opportunity to lead an estimating function yourself.

You'll have a good understanding of the construction process and technologies.

You will be based in or be able to commute to Cheshire daily.

You will be IT literate (ideally with experience using dedicated Estimating software / Microsoft Applications).


As the Lead Estimator for this business you will be given the opportunity to use the experience you have gained previously to help secure interesting, varied projects for Blue Chip clients.
