The Company:
We are working with a leading Regional Building Contractor whose North West Regional Office has created an excellent reputation for delivering varied and interesting projects for clients based across the North of England.
They have excellent relationships with their clients and enjoy a good proportion of repeat, negotiated business – they also procure work through key public sector frameworks. They are long established in the Region, well respected and their staff retention is very impressive.
The Role:
They are now in a position to add to their small North West Planning team.
Typical projects are generally constructed for Public and Private Sector clients and are generally in one of the following market sectors; commercial, education, health, residential, leisure and industrial valued up to £10 Million.
Working closely with the planning team typical duties will include;
Analyse construction methodologies looking for areas of improvement.
Liaise with the Client and their representatives on planning matters.
Document Control and distribution to internal and external stakeholders.
Attend client interviews and meetings with the other planners where you will help to explain programmes and methodology.
Help the Planners to prepare master programmes, updating progress and forecast completions.
Identify and mitigate risk whilst ensuring Health, Safety and Environmental considerations are taken in to account.
Work with the Planning team to identify and champion Best Practice.
You:
They are open minded about your background and experience, they would consider Construction graduates, someone working as a Graduate or Assistant Planner elsewhere or someone working as a Document Controller, in Site Engineering or Management. The key is to have a basic understanding of Construction and more importantly a willingness to learn.
You will be based in or be able to commute to Lancashire daily.
IT literate.
Good Communication skills.
