Bid Manager

The Company:

We are working with a well-established, regional construction group who are active in a number of market sectors.

Their North West region has recently secured a number of new contracts and have the opportunity to bid for further work via a number of key regional procurement frameworks and via private developers with whom they enjoy a good working relationship.

They have a very knowledgeable senior management team and still have the feel of a smaller family business where employees are valued and supported.

Typical projects are generally constructed for Public and Private Sector clients and are generally in either the commercial, education, health, higher education, industrial, leisure and blue light sectors.

 

The Role:

They are now in a position to add to their small North West pre-construction team.
This is a new role and they’re recruiting due to the volume of opportunities they have to secure new projects.
The role includes the responsibility for leading bids of varying sizes and types including traditional and single and 2 stage D&B schemes.

You will be given the resources to continue their success and to help improve the work winning process here helping them to secure work from their frameworks and from their private sector client base too.

You will take ownership for the development and successful delivery of pre-qualifications, proposals and tenders for projects based throughout the North West.

You’ll develop and champion win strategies.

Be responsible for early client engagement and effective communication throughout the bid process

Receive and understand tender documents and develop targeted proposals that meet/exceed the client's needs and aspirations.

You’ll ensure key bid milestones are hit ensuring the bid is clear, concise and effectively meets/exceeds the requirements.

Will carry out Bid Writing.

Carry out site visits.

Proof read all documentation that leaves the building in relation to your schemes.


You:

Ideally you will be working in a preconstruction role currently either at Bid Manager level or you may be working as a Bid Coordinator and be ready to take the next step up in your career. We’d also be keen to chat to those who are working in a delivery (operational, commercial or technical) role but have an understanding of the preconstruction process and see their next role to be focussed on bidding for work.

You’ll have great communication skills working well others.

You’ll have a genuine interest in working with clients help secure and deliver their projects.
