Civils Estimator | West Yorkshire | £55k – £70k + Package
Looking for an Estimating role where you'll have a genuine say in which projects the business goes after and how they're won?
We're recruiting for an established and growing regional contractor looking to strengthen their pre-construction team with an experienced Civils Estimator.
With a strong pipeline of work across Yorkshire and the wider region, you'll be pricing a varied mix of civil engineering, infrastructure, highways, drainage, groundworks and industrial projects – rather than being tied to one type of scheme.
This isn't a role where you'll simply be producing take-offs. You'll have ownership of tenders from initial enquiry through to submission, working closely with the commercial and operational teams to put together competitive, commercially sound bids.
The Role;
- Take ownership of civil engineering tenders from enquiry through to submission
- Prepare detailed estimates, cost plans and tender submissions
- Review drawings, specifications and contract documentation
- Complete take-offs and identify key risks and opportunities
- Obtain, analyse and negotiate subcontractor and supplier quotations
- Develop competitive pricing and tender strategies
- Work closely with operational and commercial teams to ensure bids are deliverable
- Support tender handovers following successful awards
What We're Looking For;
- Estimating experience within civil engineering, infrastructure, highways or groundworks
- Comfortable managing your own tenders and working to deadlines
- Good understanding of construction methods, costs and the civil engineering supply chain
- Strong commercial awareness
- Confident dealing with subcontractors, suppliers and internal teams
- Experience with estimating software and Microsoft Office
