A leading Contractor whose NW Construction team would generally deliver projects for public and private sector clients.
Successfully completed schemes have been in the commercial, multi storey residential, healthcare, education, retail and leisure sectors.
They are well established in the North West, are members of a number of key construction frameworks and have good mutually beneficial relationships with private sector clients who have given them a large number of repeat schemes.
They earn above average margins on schemes they have an impressive pipeline of work for 2022 and beyond.
They are now in a position to add a Design Coordinator or Assistant Design Manager to their Regional Design Team as they have secured a number of larger scale projects (valued from £40 Million to £80 Million) in Merseyside and Lancashire and need some help through preconstruction and delivery.
They have Commercial, Healthcare, Retail, Leisure and Apartment projects secured which will be starting on site during 2022.
The role would entail joining one of these projects during preconstruction and taking it to site through to handover working with a very experienced Senior Design Manager and Regional Design Manager.
You will provide advice on design risk and opportunities for value engineering to the commercial, planning, delivery and client teams.
You will produce, agree and manage realistic design programs.
Attend design meetings with the client, their representatives, consultants and supply chain.
Once projects are on site you will ensure the delivery team are working to the specifications.
Ideally, you will have worked as a Design Coordinator, Assistant Design Manager or similar previously on building projects of a significant size and will have either an architectural or construction related background.
You will be based in or be able to commute to the North West of England daily – if you are based in Merseyside all the better.
Commercially aware with an awareness of value engineering.
Good construction knowledge.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
