Are you an experienced Design Manager looking for your next opportunity with an established regional main contractor, offering interesting projects and long-term career prospects?
We're recruiting for a well-established main contractor looking to appoint a Design Manager to oversee the design process across a range of new build and refurbishment projects throughout Yorkshire.
The Role;
- Manage and coordinate the design process from pre-construction through to project delivery
- Liaise with architects, consultants, subcontractors and project teams
- Review design information, drawings and specifications
- Ensure design information is issued in line with construction programmes
- Identify and resolve design issues to minimise delays on site
- Attend design meetings and maintain effective communication with all stakeholders
What We're Looking For;
- Previous experience as a Design Manager or Design Coordinator with a main contractor
- Background working on new build and refurbishment projects
- Good understanding of construction methods, design processes and buildability
- Confident coordinating consultants and managing design information
- Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work closely with project teams
