Freelance Project Manager – Hotel Refurbishment

Rate: £320-£350 per day
Contract: 28 Weeks
The Opportunity
We are currently seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead the delivery of a 28-week hotel strip out and refurbishment project on a hotel. This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of a fast-paced, high-profile scheme, ensuring successful delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
The Role
As Project Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end management of the refurbishment works, coordinating all site activities and acting as the key point of contact for stakeholders with weekly visits from the contract manager.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing the full project lifecycle from mobilisation through to handover
- Overseeing site operations, subcontractors, and programme delivery
- Ensuring strict adherence to health & safety regulations and company policies
- Monitoring project progress, budgets, and risk management
- Liaising with clients, consultants, and internal teams to ensure clear communication
- Driving quality assurance and ensuring works meet required specifications
- Resolving on-site issues efficiently to maintain programme timelines
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Project Manager within construction, ideally on hotel or commercial refurbishment projects
- Strong knowledge of UK construction regulations and health & safety standards
- Demonstrable track record of delivering projects to tight deadlines
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and trades effectively
- Relevant qualifications (e.g. SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid) preferred
