Quantity Surveyor / Senior QS | Main Contractor | Yorkshire | £45k - £65k + Package
We’re currently working with a growing construction contractor to recruit a Quantity Surveyor due to continued growth and an increasing pipeline of secured work across Yorkshire and the surrounding regions.
The business delivers a range of projects across commercial, industrial, education, healthcare, leisure and refurbishment sectors, and they are looking to strengthen their commercial team with individuals capable of taking ownership of their own projects from pre-construction through to final account.
These positions would suit commercially minded individuals who are comfortable operating independently, managing projects valued into the millions and working closely with operational teams to drive successful project delivery.
What You’ll Be Doing;
- Managing the commercial aspects of projects from procurement through to final account
- Taking ownership of your own projects, including schemes valued into the millions
- Preparing subcontractor packages, valuations and payments
- Producing cost reports and monitoring commercial performance
- Managing variations and change control
- Supporting procurement and supply chain management
- Working closely with Site Managers and Project Managers
- Liaising with clients, consultants and subcontractors
- Assisting with forecasting and budgeting across projects
What You Will Need;
- Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor within a main contracting environment
- Ability to commercially manage projects independently
- Experience working across construction and refurbishment projects
- Good commercial awareness and contractual understanding
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Relevant construction qualification preferred
