Senior Design Manager

The Company:

We are working with a growing Regional Building Contractor who have successfully delivered new build & refurbishment projects for a varied client base mainly in and around Greater Manchester, Lancashire and Merseyside.

They typically take on industrial, commercial, care and residential projects (apartments and housing) which are valued up to £15 million.

They secure projects through key public sector Frameworks and with private clients often through negotiation.

The Role:

They would like to recruit a Senior Design Manager to oversee a few £multi-million projects in the North West.

Typical duties include:

Providing advice on design risk and explore opportunities for value engineering with the commercial, planning, delivery and client teams.

You will produce, agree and manage realistic design programs.

Attend design meetings with the client, their representatives, consultants and supply chain.

Once projects are on site you will ensure the delivery team are working to the required specifications.

You:

They would like to recruit an experienced Senior Design Manager who has worked within a similar role for a building or housing contractor.

You will be working on multiple schemes at once so need to be able to prioritise your work.

You will be based in or be able to commute to Lancashire daily.

IT literate.

Good construction knowledge.

Good verbal and written communication skills.

Benefits: 
£60,000 - £80,000 + Car/Allowance + Bonus + Package
