We are working with a leading Planning Consultancy who have a great reputation for supporting clients to deliver varied and interesting projects for clients around the world.
They offer preconstruction/tender planning, contract delivery support and dispute resolution services.
They have a very approachable and successful senior management team, the majority of their work is repeat business (they are good at what they do and tend to leave their clients pleased with their services) and have also secured commissions with a number of new clients that will keep them busy throughout 2026 and beyond.
They are cash rich, make good margins so are secure and can offer long term security.
The Role:
They are now in a position to add to their small Planning team due to growth.
Projects they work on are with Public and Private Sector clients and across multiple sectors typically valued from £50 Million to £Hundreds of Millions.
Reporting in to the Planning lead you'll be involved in both tender and contract planning with typical duties including;

Analyse construction methodologies looking for areas of improvement.

Liaise with the Client and their representatives on planning matters (often via Teams)

Prepare tender programmes.

Attend client interviews and meetings where you will explain programmes and methodology.

Prepare master programmes, updating progress and forecasting completions.

Identify and mitigate risk whilst ensuring Health, Safety and Environmental considerations are taken in to account.

Work with the rest of the team to identify and champion Best Practice.
You:
To be successful in this role you will need to have worked in a Planning role for a building contractor or consultancy previously on significant projects.
Ideally you will be based in or be able to commute to the North West or South East of England.
IT literate with experience using specialist planning software.
