Senior Quantity Surveyor | Civil Engineering | Wakefield | £65k - £75k + Package
We're currently working with a leading civil engineering contractor to recruit a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team based in Wakefield.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a business delivering a range of infrastructure, highways, earthworks and civil engineering projects across Yorkshire, working closely with operational teams to ensure projects are delivered successfully and commercially managed from start to finish.
What You'll Be Doing;
- Managing the commercial delivery of civil engineering projects through to final account.
- Preparing valuations, cost reports, forecasts and final accounts.
- Managing subcontract procurement, payments and performance.
- Identifying and negotiating variations and compensation events.
- Working closely with Contracts Managers, site teams, clients and supply chain partners.
- Ensuring effective contract administration, particularly NEC.
What You'll Need;
- Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering.
- Strong understanding of NEC contracts.
- Experience delivering infrastructure, highways, drainage, earthworks or similar projects.
- Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
