Site Engineer | Civil Engineering Contractor | Yorkshire | £40k - £50k + Package
We’re working with a well-established civil engineering contractor to appoint an experienced Site Engineer to support the delivery of infrastructure and residential groundwork schemes across Yorkshire
This is a key role within the business, suited to someone confident working independently on site, taking responsibility for setting out and ensuring works are delivered accurately and efficiently. Projects are predominantly residential infrastructure, including roads, sewers, kerbing, and plot works, with a strong pipeline of ongoing and upcoming schemes in the region
They are looking for an Engineer who can operate autonomously, not just assist—someone who can take ownership of setting out and technical delivery across multiple elements of the project
What You’ll Be Doing;
- Setting out for roads, drainage, kerbing, and plot works across residential sites
- Working from drawings to ensure accurate delivery of all civils elements
- Carrying out surveys, levels, and QA checks on site
- Producing and maintaining as-built records
- Liaising with Site Managers, subcontractors, and the wider delivery team
- Ensuring works are delivered in line with programme and technical specifications
- Supporting site teams with technical queries and problem solving
- Maintaining high standards of health & safety and quality on site
What You Will Need;
- Proven experience operating as a Site Engineer within a civil engineering environment
- Strong setting out experience across roads, sewers, and residential infrastructure
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload on site
- Confident reading and interpreting technical drawings
- Experience with QA processes and as-built documentation
- CSCS card as a minimum (SMSTS/SSSTS beneficial)
