Technical Coordinator

The Company: 

We are working with a long established, highly successful, cash rich, regional contractor who have created an excellent reputation for delivering varied and interesting projects mainly for Private Sector clients across the North of England.
Their turnover in the NW has grown year on year and is now comfortably above £200 Million. They take on projects valued up to £50 Million typically in the commercial, industrial, care, leisure, retail, education and multi storey residential sectors.
A good proportion of their work is repeat, negotiated business and as a cash rich, profitable, privately owned business they don't have to buy work to please shareholders.


The Role: 

They are now in a position to add to their technical team due to a number of new project awards and a healthy pipeline of future work. 
They would like to recruit an established Technical Coordinator, working on a high rise concreate frame apartment building, in Manchester. The job will be on site for 2.5 years.
Reporting into the Project Design Manager you will be tasked with meeting the requirements of the Building Safety Act, putting in place robust procedures that can be rolled out across other projects and using Viewpoint document management system.
This role would allow you to learn the requirements of the Building Safety Act and to become a key source of information.

You: 

You will have ability to use Viewpoint or have experience with similar document management systems.
You will be technically biased and some experience of multi-storey residential construction.
Its likely that you will have practical experience working as either an assistant Design Manager, a Document Controller or a Technical Coordinator to be able to do this job effectively.
You will need to be based in or able to commute to Manchester.
